When the RRU brought the Orchestra of Syrian Musicians to town for St George’s Day, we invited a number of community groups to the world famous Liverpool Philharmonic Hall to join in with the celebrations. Organisations including Asylum Link, Refugee Action and Rethink Rebuild Society helped us reach an audience who really enjoyed the music but might otherwise have not been able to come along.

“This was a very emotional yet wonderful celebration of the culture of Syria. It has inspired me to find out more about Syria and the suffering of it’s people. Sometimes people might think of displaced people as useless, worthless etc. This for me was an awakening. Thank you I am very grateful for this wonderful experience”

“Beautiful music enjoyed the company. It brought people together, it united people”

“Thank you for sharing a beautiful and meaningful night”
